LEVANT CONNECT
Welcome to Levant Connect

Levant Connect is an exclusive nonprofit private social club for accomplished professionals and intellectuals of Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Jordanian descent across the US and Canada. Through private events, curated networking dinners, our dedicated community app, location and profession based WhatsApp groups, online lectures and educational materials, and our signature public events open to all Levantines, we bring together the Levantine diaspora and cultivate a refined international network rooted in shared heritage and culture.

Levant Connect is primarily a referral-based community, with most members joining through introductions from existing members, however, we thoughtfully consider applications from individuals who feel strongly aligned with our values and culture, and we invite you to apply by filling out the form below for consideration.

Due to the volume of interest and our selective approach, review times may be extended, and not all applicants will receive an individual response. Please note that membership is completely free and will always remain so.

Levant Connect operates under The Levant Society, an invite only umbrella organization of accomplished entrepreneurs, scientists, social figures and business leaders who guide the vision and direction of Levant Connect. Alongside it, The Levant Forward Foundation serves as the charitable arm, focused on funding the education of children from low income families in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine.

Revenue from our public events cover advertising and operating costs. Remaining funds are directed to The Levant Forward Foundation.

Levant Connect is built on the values of religious tolerance, a close-knit community, and mutual support among our members. Our mission is to unite Levantines in the diaspora, promote tolerance across inter Levantine communities, and provide a space for those with underrepresented ideologies who may not feel aligned with mainstream environments, yet still value a meaningful connection to their roots.

Terms & Conditions

1.  Members must be Levantine or at least half Levantine in order to join Levant Connect. While we respect and appreciate all people and cultures, this community is intended specifically as a space for individuals of Levantine heritage and identity.

2.  To avoid focusing on our differences, we ask our members to avoid any political discussions. Respect everyone’s ideological and political differences 🤍 The opinions shared by members do not represent the views of the community’s admins or founder.

3. Please do not use our club for any advertisements or scam activities. Levant Connect will never send suspicious payment links.

4. Religious or sectarian mentions are allowed in the designated religious subgroups only. Any mentions outside those subgroups will result in permanent removal.

5. The main language in this social club is English. Many of our members are second, third, or later generation immigrants. Not all speak Levantine Arabic. Please be inclusive and mindful. You may use a few Levantine words here and there to teach and share. If you are an Aramaic speaker, we encourage you to teach us a few words too.

6. Inviting is allowed at our public events. You may invite Levantine friends and or relatives only to our events. Non-Levantine significant others are also allowed. Please avoid bringing non-Levantine friends to our events so they do not feel out of place and the social club does not need to adjust discussion topics to accommodate non-Levantine attendees.

7. We expect our members to follow the common-sense culture of the Levant by respecting one another, using modest language, sharing appropriate media, and interacting with fellow members as if they were visiting their own village in the Levant. We discourage extreme behavior or opinions, as well as sharing U.S. street style behavior that does not reflect our elevated Mediterranean culture or who we are. Our space is meant to feel like home away from home for people who connect with the refined traditional spirit of the Levant, not modern aggressive culture or street culture.

8. We expect our members to recognize that our ancestors are the indigenous people of the Levant. This includes the native populations who have lived on the land for thousands of years such as the Arameans, Canaanites, Phoenicians, Nabateans, and other ancient Levantine communities who shared similar DNA and culture. Our identity is rooted in this shared heritage, not in the idea that we came from somewhere else. We reject narratives like those promoted by certain forms of pan-Arab nationalism that claim our people are settlers from the Arabian Peninsula. The Levant is our identity and our ancestral homeland.

9. Small private chat groups between friends are normal and allowed up to 20 members. However, members may not create or administer parallel chat groups, communities, or social media groups that replicate Levant Connect or systematically gather Levant Connect members without permission from the admins. Any group that exceeds 20 members and continues gathering Levant Connect members, or attempts to replicate the community, its activities, or its network, is strictly prohibited. Members who create or administer such parallel groups may face legal consequences and may be removed from Levant Connect and be responsible for any legal action we may find fit.

10. Members may not use Levant Connect to build, recruit for, or establish competing Levant-focused social groups, communities, or event organizations. If a member leaves Levant Connect, they agree not to create or organize a Levant-focused social club, community, or event organization that directly targets Levant Connect members for a period of two (5) years after their departure.
MISCELLANEOUS:
• Any incitement to violence against any group or individual will result in being blocked.
Please note that by attending our events, you acknowledge and accept that photos and videos may be taken and used for future promotional and marketing purposes.
